Re: to Harold Hogkinson

How are shifting demographics in the United States affecting the population that most concerns educators: their students?

The article describes the differences and diversity in schools. Diversity is changing and being intertwined with education and learning. In the article, it discussed about race and interrelated correlations between us in the world. The demographics shift is rapidly moving and there will be more minorities than majorities over the course of years. In concerns with education, teachers, and learning, there will be a shift that is marked over the course. Also, in understanding and categorizing individuals to groups are difficult since the groups are more general than specific.

The article also identifies the baby boomers and their retirement. And the description in the article shows student and parents of various languages and their perspective and relation involving the school. In education, students vary over the course of the years and every year, there will be different students from the last. It is hard and difficult identifying the learning type it is important to meet every students need which various due to the demographics population in the United States.
